A Familiar Face

Things here have been going well. Transfers are coming up this week. So by the next time I will write yall I could have a new companion and possibly be in a different area. I'm guessing I will probably end up staying here but then again you never know. I know Elder Ware and Elder Langi have been requesting to serve with me.

I'm suprised that Lindsay didn't get in to BYU considering she has such good grades. I would recommend him getting about the same amount of shirts I had. I would pack like 2 pairs of jeans and a couple of shorts and stuff for pday.(We had asked what he would recommend packing for Mark.) It's crazy that he is leaving already. I hope to get to see him sometime during his mission. Anyway Harrison Bass has a baptismal date set for like March 12. We have another one with this family named the Masseys. They are really nice. He decided to come back to church after like 20 years. She isn't a member but baptism is looking pretty close for her.

You will never guess who I saw this past week. I saw Tom Stanley. I was on an exchange with another missionary and they had splits that night. Well Tom Stanley was their split. He got out of the car and I was looking at him. I was like he looks like a Stanley. So I was like whats your name? He was like I'm Tom Stanley. So I was like I know your family and you. I was like what a small world. He was like I thought your name looked familiar. Anyways we talked for a little while. Apparently he and Tristan have 3 kids.

Let's see I attend 4 wards. We are teaching the same people. Anyways how have yall been doing? Im excited that Grandma might send me a king cake. I have been craving that for so long. Anyways sorry this letter is so short. I hope yall have a good week and take care.

Love

Elder Mattei
