So it's exciting to hear that Mark goes to the MTC tomorrow. I got a new companion, Elder Bevell. He is a pretty nice person. Harrison has a baptism coming up this weekend. It should be pretty good. I'm hoping that it will get his family active. All the kids go except for the parents. Anyway we are close to baptism with this family, the Masseys.
They made me a district leader this week. I'm not really too excited to have it. I guess it will be good for me though. I will be running district meetings and going on exchanges with companionships and making sure everyone is doing what they're supposed to and that kind of stuff. I also have to give baptismal interviews. I had a good experience at my last district meeting. I kinda realized I needed to start being more obedient and doing better. It's been hard especially since I'm coming to the end of my mission. So I think it was a good experience for me.
Anyway going out with the Garcias was fun. They took me and Elder Roth (a former companion) out to Buffalo Wild Wings. It was really good. You should post that picture as my main one on facebook. It was fun being able to visit with them as well. I enjoyed getting the King Cake. As I told you it was a little bit dry. Probably from being in the mail for so long. They tasted good though. So how long will Mark be in the MTC for? Anyways not much has gone on this week. Its been kinda slow especially since one of us knew that we would be transferred. So Elder Jones got sent to Peitte or howerver you spell it. He will be in a tripod companionship. Anyways thats about all I have to talk about for this week. Except yesterday was a hetic day. I went to Boise about 4 times. First time to bring Elder Jones. Then came back with other Elders and they had to be there at 10. So then I went later to pick up my companion. Well they were like 2 hours behind so then I came back and hung around for 2 hours and then finally I went and picked him up again. It was a pretty hectic day.
I hope Mark enjoys the MTC and has a good time. It seems like he packed way too much though. But he will learn soon that that was a mistake lol. Anyways I hope yall have a good week. Thanks for the King Cakes and tell Grandma thank you.
Love
Elder Mattei
