Springtime weather, Easter and Baseball

This week has been really good. We are getting a lot more referrals and have a total of 7 baptism dates. This Burmese family that we use a translator for wants me to baptize 2 of their kids and for Elder Crook to baptize 2 and for the translator to baptize them as well. That will be on the 17th. We have one coming up on the 10th as well. We will probably be teaching new families this week because of the referrals we have gotten.

Easter was good. We watched conference with the Kerr's and then with John later in the day.  I watched the Saturday session at the Hill's house as well. I liked a lot of the talks but my fav ones came out of the priestood session. I really like Dieter F Uchdorf's talk on patience during that session. Jeffrey R Holland also gave a really good talk I thought as well. (General Conference is a semiannual broadcast of talks by our Church leaders.)

I got the money and letter from Granny. I will have to write her and tell her thank you. I still need to send my shoes to them. (Missionary Mall, where we bought his shoes, will replace worn shoes for all missionaries who purchased their shoes there.  Apparently Elder Mattei's are shot.) What address do I send it to again? Yeah I'm most likely going to be here for two more transfers. It should be pretty good though. I have no idea if I will be training or not after Elder Crook leaves. (training a new missionary)

The weather here has recently stunk. It has been cold and rainy and it snowed some yesterday. It was 60 degrees like a week or two ago. Now its just been cold. Thunderstorms here are nothing like they were back home. I miss them. I don't even consider these thunder storms cause it never lightnings or thunders.

I was just saying I hope to get married sometime after my mission.  I'm not sayin its necessarily going to happen lol. (This was his response to my question about his comment from last week's email.)  That's awesome to hear Garrett is playing T ball. I was in Applebees yesterday and they had it on baseball and they kept going to highlights of the Cards game and I was so Trunky. (Trunky is a missionary term for like being kind of homesick or anxious to get home,  usually occurring when they're counting down the days to home).   I saw Albert Pujols hit 2 hr and saw that he was doing awesome. I really wanna go to a baseball game. I miss being able to watch them and stuff. Tell Garrett I said thank you for the letter. It was really nice. So today I got to sleep in and I played basketball. So its been a pretty simple day. I also slept in some during Easter since it was a day off. So I found out Elder Hefler is being transferred to Cuna. (Kuna) I probably spelled it wrong but its all good. So how are Julian and Courtney and Damon and Scott doing? Have you heard from them much at all or ever see them? Well Mom I g2g.

Love

Elder Mattei
