This week has been good. Its been a little stressful with all these baptisms and stuff. I got to ride a 4 wheeler this week for like 5 min lol. Im really not suppose to but the Bishop insisted so I did for a little bit. The baptism we were supposed to have last week was moved to the 24th cause he had to go out of town. But we have 2 baptisms this week. One is on Thursday. We got him to committ to baptism last week suprisingly. Then the Burmese people will be baptized on Saturday. The only friend I have heard from back home is Courtney and Corinne. I hear from Corinne every Tuesday.Courtney sent me a letter this week. I like teaching the plan of salvation and The Gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't know why but I just like them and I like the Gospel of Jesus Christ because of the object lesson that we do. The new missionaries in our zone are Elder Guerro, Elder Gillie, and Elder Eddington. Elder Guerro could have been drafted by the Texas Rangers. So he is really good at baseball. I spend a typical day visiting and making contacts and teaching lessons. Sometimes we go out to eat to places that have discounts for us and stuff. I never got that stuff from Caldwell. I left my foam pillow there too. I probably won't get it back sadly lol. I'm trying to take pictures lol. I will take some of the people I'm baptizing. I don't think I need anything at least right now. I haven't kept in touch with all the people I have taught. I need to call some of them. I've gotten bad at keeping in touch with people. We got more names this week to go teach. So I'm hoping the area keeps going really well cause I'm gonna be here for awhile. Anyways I g2g.  So how did you manage to get a job with a Soybean company?. Mike is doing temp work for the United Soybean Board. I've been eating soybeans a little bit. They're not too bad and they're healthy for you. I might start drinking soy milk as well. It tastes pretty good and it's healthier for you.  I do hope I get to serve with him. I think we would get along fine and it would be fun. Here he's referring to Trevor, (Elder Gonthier).  We had written him about Trevor's good attitude when "stranded" on the hillside.  I still haven't written in my journal. I just need to get in the habit of doing it. Maybe I'll start bringing it to church with me and write in it there. Mike bought him a journal before he left and has repeatedly encouraged him to write in it.   We still have yet to do anything fun at all on our P-Day. I'm hoping that we can start playing football or something soon. The weather here is still kinda cool and it rains almost every p day we have it seems like. I haven't had anything interesting to eat. Nothing out of the ordinary at least. Yeah it is hard to believe that I have been out almost a year. I'm enjoying it but there are those days where I don't want to do anything or I just want to play xbox or watch tv or something. I see that Mark still doesn't learn from his past mistakes lol. (another speeding ticket!) Yeah I would like that family history stuff cause I could probably go do work for them and stuff. The best thing I have had to eat on my mission is by far the Gumbo from that cajun guy in my last area. The best spiritual experience has been when I gave that guy in the ICU a blessing. But that could change when I baptize some of that family. That stinks that so many have lost their jobs.(referring to how many people we know who have lost jobs)  I will keep them in my prayers. Not much new has happened this week,  except teaching people and contacting people and such. But I g2g. Yall have a good week

Love
Elder Mattei
