Lovin' Twin Falls
This week has been pretty good. My cold has gone away for the most part. I didn't send the memory card because we went to the falls today and I figured yall would like a picture of them. The twin falls one was kind of a bummer because i'ts low on water and the other fall has a power plant in front of it and doesn't exist anymore. But the other waterfall was pretty. I'm gonna try and go there around spring time so we can see more water and it won't be as cold. Its really windy in that canyon. We will probably go back again towards the end of the transfer when there is more water at them. I wanna go find some hiking trails and hike them during a P-Day.Yes we live on Harmony Road. I think its 896 Harmony Road. We live with the Hill family. The guy's name is Jay Hill I know that. He is a really nice guy and quite a cowboy lol. He took us to see the falls today. He watches Bill O'Reilly pretty much every night so it's tempting not to watch it when I see it on. I usually sit and watch it for 2 min before I realize I'm not supposed to be watching it lol. The best person we are teaching is Dennis because he is ready to be baptized. We also teach a lot of less active families. Elder Crook and I get along really well. We are like two good friends basically. This transfer is going by fast. I think its cause I get along with Elder Crook and things are just going better. I actually have fun with him and we talk quite a bit. I hope I get to serve another transfer with him. People say after your 1st six months things tend to just fly by. I'm hoping that is the case because my first 6 months kind of went by slowish. They would go fast but they would also go by slow. I should be sending the memory card this week and I'll send a letter to Mark as well. Not a whole lot of new stuff has happened in the area. We are just contacting people and setting up appointments. We taught the 2nd lesson to Dennis last night and the family who fellowshipped him made us steak which was extremely good. Last week we taught 15 lessons which is good. The week before they only taught a total of 4 lessons. So the area has improved a lot. So of the families I teach I really like this family who is less active. Their name is Salisbury. It's a single mother and her kids. She is really cool and I enjoy visiting with their family. There is this member named John and he treats us at least once a week. He is really nice and he is kinda lonely so we go visit him a couple times a week. We did service on Saturday for the Parks and recreation department to help them fix up the baseball fields except it was not organized well by them at all. All the baseball fields were filled up and it was a huge waste of time. Basically we picked up leaves and trash. So afterwards we went out to Cold Stone because we get it for free once a week. I'm having trouble thinking of what all to write this week. Bascially this week has been making contacts and teaching some appointments. I'm glad to hear Thomas has gotten that far in Karate. I can't believe it's already time for Garrett to start Kindergarden. I'm all over the place in this letter sorry about that. So Brother Hill broke his lower back like a month ago using a snowmobile. He is doing pretty good for an old man. He gets around ok and everything. But he has motorcycles and snowmobiles and all that cool stuff. I also am letting him read my Glenn Beck book. I really like living with them. Like I said its kinda like stayin at grandma and grandpa's house.Sister Hill is nice and kind of funny. I will come upstairs at six in the morning and she'll be singing and dancing. It's like living with Mary Poppins. The other night Elder Crook and I laid out under the stars on the trampoline and it's beautiful because there is no light around. Yesterday it was a high of 60 degrees earlier in the day and it snowed at night. It was crazy weather. I can't wait for warm weather to come back around. Well I think I filled up this letter for the most part. It's not the most interesting but it will do lol.
