Elder Scott

Dear Family,

Last night I heard Richard G. Scott talk. It was so awesome to hear a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles! He talked on listening to the Holy Ghost. He took his glasses off and told us he was going to talk to us about something he doesn't normally talk about.

Elder Scott recounted a story that occurred while driving on a road that had steep drops on both sides and no shoulder. He was driving with an elderly stake president and switched drivers so that Elder Scott could get some sleep. The stake president apparently fell asleep behind the wheel, when suddenly the car swerved and came to a stop. The stake president then replied that he had not applied the brakes. Thus the Holy Ghost can work in many miraculous ways!

Elder Scott also gave a blessing to all of us that we would return home safely as long as we kept the commandments. I will include in this letter, notes that I took while I heard him speak. If you have time, type them out and send them to me and keep the notes I sent you because I don't want to lose them. His testimony was great because he said, "I know Jesus Christ." The way he sounded when he said that was touching because he sounded like he actually had met Christ. I believe he has. I need to go try and study some.
