Almost a Week Later

Dear Family and friends

I don't have much time to respond to these emails so I'm just going to use dad's email for now. Things have been great. I sent a letter home the first night and I'm sure yall got that. When yall dropped me off I went and got shots and I met my new roommates. Elder Shueler is my companion and he is a pretty cool guy. I have actually discussed politics with him lol and we kinda differ cause he is more moderate. My other two roommates are Elder Wright and Elder Crook. I can write more about them in a letter home. The spirit is really strong here and my faith in Jesus Christ has really grown. I wake up at six every morning and it's not too hard for me to do actually. I have classes that are really good but can get kind of boring. I get frustrated sometimes because I am so busy with planning lessons and practicing teaching. We have taught 3 or 4 first lessons so far and we have done pretty well. We all have trouble sleeping at night and keep our neighbors up lol. They had to knock on our door to tell us to quiet down. It is hard gettting used to the whole getting organized thing. I'm actually not homesick as much as I thought I would be. I think I was ready to move out of the house. It is hard getting used to not having some things like music. Please update me on how the Saints and Cardinals are doing right now and maybe some of Drew Brees stats. I went to the temple this morning and that was a great experience. The inside isn't much better looking than the outside of this temple. It seemed really plain. I miss all of yall and let everyone know I said hi. The MTC really isn't as bad as what I thought it would be. It can be really hard at times but overall its a good experience. I can't wait to get out of here though and be out on my own. I did meet the other person with the last name Mattei. He is from New York and I don't remember where he is serving. All of my roommates are going to Boise. I get along with most of them fine. One of the Canadian guys that is in my district gets really annoying with his Opera singing. I think he purposely tries to show it off cause he does it all the time and talks about singing lessons. Other than that everyone is fine for the most part. I'm trying to work on not being negative. I tend to be negative at some points and I have trouble staying focused during study time sometimes. My medicine has been working pretty well. I need to go now. I will either write a letter home or wait till next week to write.
