Well today's blog will basically be a summary of things Elder Mattei mentioned this week. Things with his companion are still so-so. Sounds like this companionship will be a trial of patience. Apparently he's a nice young man, but he complains a lot about his feet hurting, having to walk too far, and when people aren't at home. He's only been out a few weeks so things will hopefully improve as time goes on.
Elder Mattei did have an interview with President Cannon this past week. Transfers will be on January 23, but Greg will more than likely be staying in Meridian. The most exciting result of the interview (for mom anyhow) is that Elder Mattei was given a release date of July 20! So the countdown begins!
There will be a baptism on Saturday. Tony, the man with a military background whom he mentioned a couple of weeks ago, has agreed to be baptized. Greg referred to him as a "golden investigator". He sounded excited about the upcoming event.
Of course Greg shared his dismay regarding the Saints loss this past weekend. LSU won though! So football in the Mattei household is done for the season. Happy thought: the next time the Saints and Tigers play, Greg will be watching and hollering. Let the countdown begin!
