Mom I bought a pair of sunglasses that I got a discount on and they are really nice and I bought a thing for my bike that cost 100 and they are normally 200 but it allows me to work out on my bike in the morning. (answers to questions regarding large sums of money disappearing from his bank account)
Mom I don't have an ipod. Someone at the house is buying things on Itunes because I don't have access to that kinda stuff. Mark or someone is buying it on my laptop. (another response to yet another email that questioned a purchase at a pawn shop and a charge for an iTunes purchase. Yes, I'll admit it, I thought he had bought an iPod. Important lesson learned on jumping to erroneous conclusions~of course I should have trusted that he wouldn't be breaking rules! And that's why I'm posting it here. It was a great lesson in humility.)
I'm gonna write you and mom a letter this week. Sorry I have been so
lazy about writing letters home. We have another baptismal date set on
halloween. There will be 2 baptisms this week: Russ and Jackie. I will
be giving Russ the Gift of the Holy Ghost on Sunday. I'm kinda nervous
but that is the important stuff that has been going on this week.
So I'm guessing my questions aggravated him enough for him to keep his letter this week a bit brief. LOL However I received the following note from a sister in Idaho who belongs to a missionary mom's internet group that I also belong to. I'm including it here as I thought it was kind of neat and makes up for the short message in a way . . .
Hi Gracie,
My son, Derick, met your son when Elder Mattei and his companion came to talk in his seminary class yesterday. Derick is a big Florida Gators fan so they chatted a bit about the Florida-LSU game. Nothing exciting to report, just that your son is alive and well! ...and perhaps a bit damp today, it has been raining.Hope you are having a great week!
